In this position paper we present an empirical study about the Eclipse IDE modification practice in a mid-size software development company. Provisioning mainly addressed from a central perspective, neglecting the artful work to take care about the own tools. In this paper we argue that new provisioning technologies should take appropriation processes into account. Finally we give a first outline about a software infrastructure, to show how such a technology might look like.
